Summary
Green Cities Company, a forward-thinking real estate investment manager with over $1B in AUM and $2B in equity raised, is seeking a Fall Intern to support its asset strategy and performance initiatives. The intern will work closely with an analyst to evaluate leasing performance across the firm’s multifamily portfolio. This includes tracking market rents and concessions, conducting detailed lease audits using Green Cities’ internal scorecard, and delivering strategic recommendations. The role offers exposure to real estate operations, research, and asset management strategy, and is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in real estate investment and analytics. This position will also contribute to Green Cities’ vertically integrated platform by supporting data-driven insights that strengthen our operational execution and investment decision-making.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Conduct lease audits for each property using Green Cities’ internal scorecard and compose memos that summarize audit findings and highlight performance trends, actionable insights, and strengths & weaknesses of each asset.
- Collaborate with asset managers and marketing teams to align leasing execution with business plans, branding guide, and marketing strategy.
- Compile market comps and rent data to evaluate pricing strategy by updating Green Cities’ proprietary rent scrape. This includes making weekly calls to Green Cities' assets and comps to get concession information.
- Summarize assets’ weekly leasing standing in a digestible and clear deliverable.

Qualifications
- Ideally a college junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field at a Bay Area university, though class standing is not required.
- Must possess strong professional and concise writing skills to communicate effectively across various formats.
- Experience in real estate.
